What If Lightning DOES Strike?

We rather casually refer to “lightning strikes” as a euphemism to illustrate life’s unpredictable events and the importance of planning to mitigate the uncertainty stemming from them. In a recent issue of Fast Company magazine, Beth Hollenberg told her story of not one but TWO instances of lightning strikes which threatened her company. All contractors, especially those working for large corporate entities, should have Emergency Continuation Plans in place to mitigate unpredictable and potentially fatal events.

Please tune in this week as Wayne relates Hollenberg’s story, passes along her advice, and shares a succession story about daughters pressing their reluctant father to undertake long term planning. What’s your best advice around emergencies and continuation plans? Please share with us in the comments.
