A dashboard is a reporting tool that provides a visual display of organizational KPIs, metrics, and data. Unfortunately, most dashboards are composed of BACKWARD LOOKING information like revenue, margins, and head count. These numbers tell you where you’ve been, but they say very little about where you’re going.

Please watch our blog this week as Wayne offers less traditional metrics to add to your dashboard that can give you FORWARD LOOKING assistance in measuring your current and future success.

Please give us the benefit of your thinking in the comments section below. Thank you.

  1. Wayne, great blog as usual, but most of the information you discuss really applies more to a contractor that works in the private sector or maybe a sub, dealing with multiple GC’s. Is this right, or am I missing something. The contractors approach with public sector agencies/owners is much different i think. Do you agree.

    • Yes, public works/DOT contractors live in a different space, Tom.
