Creating organizational accountability begins at the TOP. Expecting accountability without putting processes in place to develop competencies, define expectations, measure results, provide feedback, and motivate performance is fundamentally flawed. How do you make accountability part of your company culture?
Watch Digging Deeper this week as Dennis explains the importance of accountability at every level in your organization. How do you hold your people accountable? We’d love to hear how you make it work.

Rick Petro says:
I think the message that is often lost is not the measurement piece but the follow up. We measure a lot of things but if we do not demonstrate why that info is important, it loses value.
David Helms says:
… and if you do not measure it you cannot manage it.
Dennis Engelbrecht says:
It certainly is more difficult to manage around perceptions than measurables. Many people think they are doing things they aren’t and performing better than they are. It is incumbent upon us as leaders to reduce the light between perception and reality so true improvement and performance can occur.
Dennis Engelbrecht says:
Well said!

Great points.
“When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates.”
