  1. The typical millionaire is disciplined, focused, conservative and they lead average lives (living beneath their means). They accumulate wealth over time and they are generally debt averse except to the extent that debt is tax advantaged or debt is assumed with a clear return on investment in mind. They are usually very family oriented and active in their communities and participate in various institutions. They do not display their wealth nor do they significantly change their core lifestyles as wealth is realized. As the book you mentioned describes, they are the “Millionaire Next Door”.
