Building a successful business is among the very best ways to achieve financial freedom and personal fulfillment. But building a healthy enterprise isn’t easy; it takes incredible fortitude, courage, perseverance, and sacrifice.
Watch our blog this week as Wayne distinguishes between pejorative media stereotypes of wealthy people and the hardworking family business leaders who make up the bulk of America’s wealthy class.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments.
David Helms says:
The typical millionaire is disciplined, focused, conservative and they lead average lives (living beneath their means). They accumulate wealth over time and they are generally debt averse except to the extent that debt is tax advantaged or debt is assumed with a clear return on investment in mind. They are usually very family oriented and active in their communities and participate in various institutions. They do not display their wealth nor do they significantly change their core lifestyles as wealth is realized. As the book you mentioned describes, they are the “Millionaire Next Door”.

Thanks, David.

I truly enjoyed this post, and in my personal experience, I find it so very true! Love the stat about driving an F150 also; being in the used car business, it honestly made me smile.
Wayne Rivers says:
Glad to generate a smile, Kelly! Thanks.
Jeryl Rawls says:
Wayne, well said. Yes, worrying about making payroll builds character, and if you do have that grit and no fear, success does happen.
Wayne Rivers says:
Ain’t it the truth, Jeryl! Thanks
